Billy Thrall – Executive Director

Tell us about yourself.

I am an Arizona native.  I have spent the last 25 years in full-time ministry – as a pastor and community advocate.  I love seeing people meet Jesus – and then respond to His calling in their lives.  I want Arizona to be famous for things that are about Christ and His Kingdom! I am blessed to be married to an amazing woman and we have three great boys we really love a bunch.

What do you do for CityServe?

My primary role is to set vision and direction for CityServe.  My focus is bringing different people from different sectors of our culture to work together solving issues in local communities.

What part of CityServe most excites you?

When it works!  What I mean is, when churches and businesses and government agencies and non-profits trust each other enough to not make themselves the issue – and go after correcting issues of distressed communities.

Where can we run into you?

Good coffee shops or community centers.  I love the Lux on Central – Cartel and Giant coffee downtown.
I also love bringing people together in public meeting spaces or on site at non-profit care facilities.

Oh, and you might see me out prayer walking our streets and trails.

Who inspires you?

People who love other people well.

Terrilyn Miller – Operations and Development

Tell us about yourself.

My Arizona roots date back to 1877, when my family arrived from Oregon with 80 “well-bred” horses and 150 head of cattle.  With a long heritage and fascinating history, my heart is bound to Arizona and the people who live here.  I have experience running businesses and serving with  nonprofit organizations and ministries — often alongside my loving and kind hearted husband, Mick. Together we have 5 sons and 1 daughter.

What do you do for CityServe?

My role is to communicate our vision and mission in a way that captures the heart of the community and reminds people to love and serve their neighbors.

What part of CityServe most excites you?

Everything!  With the support and encouragement of the community, CityServe Arizona has the opportunity and privilege to devote our energies to promoting and cultivating lasting relationships between churches, schools, businesses, non-profits and government agencies.  We are blessed to share your stories of changed lives and communities transformed because a network of caring people chose to serve together.

Where can we run into you?

Coffee shops, country roads, small towns and downtown – I enjoy them all!  But, you will seldom find me alone.  I prefer hanging out with people, particularly visitors from other nations, and getting to know them.  For me, life is an adventure and God is my ever faithful guide.

Who inspires you?

People who persevere through adversity.  Jesus.
